Dr. McGuire was the preoperative holding room anesthesiologist at Camis Surgical Center who was reviewing my case prior to my surgery for an incarcerated ventral hernia repair. Dr. McGuire is one of those exceptional physicians who leaves you with a feel that you are in very competent and safe hands. Besides being personable and kind, she is very sharp and does not miss details. She was familiar with every medicine I was taking. She also explained, in detail, how she would manage anesthesia in relation to my comorbidities. I have never done this before, but I asked her if she would be in the operating room with me. Another vibe given off by Dr. McGuire is that she is clearly a caring and energetic individual. We talked and she answered several questions outside of her modality. Dr. McGuire is just a wonderful person and I am grateful that she is in this modality.
